NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — David Cohn scored 24 points, Nathan Knight had a double-double and No. 4 seed William & Mary defeated fifth-seeded Towson for the first time in three meetings this season, 80-66, on Sunday to advance to the semifinals of the Colonial Athletic Association Tournament.
The Tribe (19-11) will take on top-seeded Charleston on Monday.
Hofstra pulls away late, beats Towson 91-86
HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (AP) — Justin Wright-Foreman scored 27 points and Hofstra pulled away in the final four minutes to beat Towson 91-86 on Saturday in a Colonial Athletic Association regular season finale.
Hofstra (19-11, 12-6) has won five of its last six games, and finishes in third place in the conference standings. Towson (18-13, 8-10) entered having secured no better than fifth place.
Lewis free throws allow James Madison to upset Towson, 69-66
TOWSON, Md. (AP) — Matt Lewis hit three of four from the free-throw line in the final minute and James Madison held on to beat Towson 69-66 on Saturday night.
The loss drops Towson into fifth place in the Colonial Athletic Association, a game behind Williams & Mary. James Madison is a half-game behind North Carolina-Wilmington in a battle for the No. 7 tournament seed.
Stuckey Mosley scored 19 points to lead the Dukes (9-19, 5-10), with Lewis adding 16 points.
Neumann-Goretti High School has produced a lot of great basketball players over the years. One of them is Zane Martin, who now stars for Towson University’s basketball team.
Martin, a 6-foot-4, 200-pound sophomore guard, received a good foundation from another Neumann-Goretti product in John Davis, who had a magnificent college career at Towson.
Pusica with 23 points, Northeastern beats Towson 77-62
TOWSON, Md. (AP) — Vasa Pusica scored 23 points with four rebounds and four assists and Northeastern notched its third-straight win, beating Towson 77-62 on Saturday.
Pusica was 7 of 10 from the field including four from distance for the Huskies (17-9, 10-4 Colonial Athletic Conference) who are in second place behind Charleston in the conference. Devon Begley added 14 points, eight rebounds and three steals and Bolden Brace chipped in 10 points.
Morsell’s 31 points send Towson past Drexel 94-91 in OT
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Mike Morsell scored 31 points — including the last eight in overtime — and Towson erased an 18-point, second-half deficit to beat Drexel 94-91 on Thursday night.
Mosley, Phillips help James Madison rally past Towson 79-73
HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP) — Stuckey Mosley poured in 35 points, two off his career high, and DeVelle Phillips added 17 and James Madison clawed from 11 points down to defeat Towson 79-73 on Saturday.
Dawkins, Thompson lead Elon past Towson 83-76
TOWSON, Md. (AP) — Brian Dawkins and Dmitri Thompson scored 20 points apiece and Tyler Seibring added 17 points and eight rebounds to power Elon to an 83-76 victory over Towson on Saturday.
Dawkins and Thompson combined to shoot 16 of 25 from the floor for the Phoenix (13-10, 5-5 Colonial Athletic Association), who picked up their first road win over the Tigers (15-8, 5-5) in four tries.
Martin scores 35 to lead Tigers over Tribe in overtime
TOWSON, Md. (AP) — Zane Martin scored a career-high 35 points, and Brian Starr added 17 points as Towson beat William & Mary 96-82 in overtime Thursday night.
The Tigers (15-7, 5-4 Colonial Athletic Association) outscored the Tribe (13-7, 6-3) 17-3 in overtime and held them to 0-4 shooting. Martin shot 4 of 5 in OT and scored 10 of his 35 points.
Justin Pierce scored a career-high 27 points with 14 rebounds for the Tribe, and David Cohn added 17 points.
Fornes has 7 in OT to lead UNC Wilmington to 73-71 win
WILMINGTON, N.C. (AP) — Jordon Talley nailed a trey and Jaylen Fornes followed with a dunk in the final minute of overtime to give UNC Wilmington enough cushion to hold on for a 73-71 win over Towson on Saturday night.
Fornes, who scored seven of his 10 points in the extra period, hit a jumper and a 3-pointer to start overtime. His dunk with 57 seconds left gave the Seahawks the lead for good.
Martin, Starr lead Towson to 90-68 rout of Drexel
TOWSON, Md. (AP) — Zane Martin totaled 18 points, five rebounds and four assists and Brian Starr added 16 points and six boards to power Towson to a 90-68 romp over Drexel on Thursday night.
Mike Morsell and Justin Gorham each scored 13 for the Tigers (14-6, 4-3 Colonial Athletic Association), while Deshaun Morman scored 12.

TOWSON, Md. (AP) — Justin Wright-Foreman scored 35 points with six 3-pointers and Jalen Ray's 3 at the buzzer lifted Hofstra to a 76-73 win over Towson on Thursday night.
Hunter Sabety grabbed Brian Starr's missed 3, Ray took the outlet pass, dribbled to about 25-feet out and got the shot away with defenders trailing the play.

Towson beats defending CAA champ UNC Wilmington 89-71
TOWSON, Md. (AP) — Mike Morsell made four 3-pointers and scored 24 points to help Towson beat defending Colonial Athletic Association champion UNC Wilmington 89-71 on Friday night.
The Tigers made 12 of 22 3-pointers — with three from Brian Starr and two apiece by Zane Martin and Jordan McNeil.
Starr and Martin added 12 points apiece for Towson (11-5, 1-2). Eddie Keith II scored 11, Justin Gorham had 10 points and 10 rebounds and McNeil chipped in 10 points.
Santa Ana, Thompson help Elon slip past Towson, 75-72
ELON, N.C. (AP) — Steven Santa Ana hit four 3-pointers and finished with 17 points and Dmitri Thompson scored four of his 15 points in the final 27 seconds to help Elon beat Towson 75-72 on Tuesday night.
Tyler Seibring had 16 points, on 7-of-12 shooting, and Dainan Swoope added 12 points and six assists for Elon (10-5, 2-0 Colonial Athletic Association).
Brantley helps Charleston pull away from Towson 73-62
CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Jarrell Brantley had 14 of his 24 points in the second half and Charleston pulled away to beat Towson 73-62 in the Colonial Athletic Association opener for both teams on Saturday.
Brantley had 11 of his points after the nine-minute mark of the second half, including six during an 8-0 run that gave the Cougars (10-3) a 64-48 lead with 3:46 to go.

Wednesday’s college basketball: Oakland cools Towson
Rochester — Kendrick Nunn scored 31 points, Jalen Hayes had 25 points and 10 rebounds and Oakland rolled to a 97-86 victory that snapped Towson's 10-game winning streak Wednesday night.
Nunn was 7-of-13 shooting from 3-point range, and Hayes made all 11 of his free throws. Martez Walker added 20 points for Oakland (7-5), which shot 28 of 52 (54 percent) from the field and made 30 of 36 (83 percent) free throws.
Morsell’s 3 gives Towson 56-55 win in Northern Ireland
BELFAST, Northern Ireland (AP) — Mike Morsell hit a baseline jumper with 1.5 seconds left to give Towson a 56-55 victory over Manhattan on Saturday for the championship of the inaugural Basketball Hall of Fame Belfast Classic.
Towson missed two shots in the final 11 seconds but both times the ball went out of bounds to the Tigers after scrambles for rebounds, the final time with 3.2 seconds left. Morsell then scored off the final inbounds pass.
Towson outlasts La Salle 67-60 in Northern Ireland
BELFAST, Northern Ireland (AP) — Zane Martin scored 20 points, Mike Morsell added 17 and Towson outscored La Salle 9-2 in the last 2½ minutes on Friday for a 67-60 win in the inaugural Basketball Hall of Fame Belfast Classic.
The Tigers (7-1), who have won seven straight, face Manhattan in Saturday's championship game while the Explorers (4-4) meet Holy Cross. This is the first time regular season college games have been played in Europe.
Towson beats Penn, 79-71 to reach Gulf Coast title game
ESTERO, Fla. (AP) — Mike Morsell scored 18 points and led four players into double figure scoring as Towson edged Penn to advance to the championship game of the Gulf Coast Classic tournament Tuesday night.
The Tigers will face George Southern in the championship game Wednesday night.
The victory was the 100th career win at Towson for coach Pat Skerry, who becomes the third coach in school history with 100 wins.
Martin scores 23 to lead Towson past Florida Atlantic, 76-52
ESTERO, Fla. (AP) — Zane Martin tied career high with four made 3-pointers and 23 points on Monday night and Towson never trailed in its 76-52 win over Florida Atlantic in the Gulf Coast Showcase.
Eddie Keith had a career-best tying 13 points and Justin Gorham scored 10 on 5-of-6 shooting for Towson (3-1).
Towson beats Loyola (Md.) 95-72
BALTIMORE (AP) — Brian Starr scored 21, making all seven of his attempts from the field including three 3-pointers, and Towson beat Loyola of Maryland 95-72 on Friday night.
Zane Martin added 19 points on 8-of-13 shooting and the Tigers (2-1) shot 61.8 percent (34 of 55).
Cam Gregory had 17 points for the Greyhounds (0-3), who never led after the opening minutes. Towson had its largest lead at 63-30 with 14:57 left.
Old Dominion outlasts Towson 57-54
NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — B.J. Stith scored 15 points and Old Dominion held off Towson in the final minute for a 57-54 win in the season opener for both teams on Friday night.
Xavier Green missed the front end of a 1-and-1 with 22 seconds left to leave an opening for Towson in the final seconds, but Martin missed a 3-point attempt with three seconds to go and Green made both free throw attempts with 0.3 seconds.
