SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) — Tyrell Harper had 17 points and nine assists and Zach Sellers hit a 3-pointer to cap the scoring with 46 seconds left as Savannah State narrowly beat Morgan State 88-85 on Monday night.
Harper shot 5 for 7 on 3-pointers.
Jaquan Dotson had 18 points for Savannah State (9-15, 6-4 Mid-Eastern Conference), which won its fourth consecutive game. Zaquavian Smith added 13 points and three blocks. Romani Hansen had 11 points and three blocks for the hosts.
Savannah State holds off Maryland-Eastern Shore 68-63
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. (AP) — Zach Sellers scored 19 points, Zaquavian Smith added 15 and Savannah State beat Maryland-Eastern Shore 68-63 on Monday night.
Savannah State was ahead 62-52, its largest advantage of the game, with just under five minutes left, but UMES got within 64-61 two minutes later.
SSU made its first nine free throws before missing three straight late to let UMES back in it. But Sellers made two straight to seal it with 11.4 remaining, making it 67-63.
Joseph leads Savannah State over Delaware State 76-73
DOVER, Del. (AP) — Collins Joseph scored 17 points with three 3-pointers and Savannah State held off Delaware State 76-73 on Saturday night, handing the Hornets their 10th straight loss.
Zaquavian Smith hit three 3s and scored 15 points and Tyrell Harper added 10 points for the Tigers (6-15, 3-4 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference), who were outrebounded 43-36 but made 9 of 33 3-pointers.

SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) — Zaquavian Smith scored 20 points and was wide open to throw down an authoritative two-handed dunk with 11 seconds remaining and Savannah State fended off South Carolina State 92-88 Saturday night.
Zach Sellers led Savannah State with 29 points, hitting 10 of 16 shots and sinking all seven of his free throws. Joseph Collins added 10 points for the Tigers (5-14, 2-3 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference).
Florida A&M holds on to defeat Savannah State

Hanson, Dotson aid Savannah State’s comeback over Morgan St
BALTIMORE (AP) — Romani Hansen and Jaquan Dotson each scored 20 points and Savannah State rallied to beat Morgan State 88-87 in overtime on Monday night.
The Tigers trailed 64-52 with 14:08 remaining and got back in it by outscoring Morgan State 20-8 over an 8½-minute span and knotted it at 72-all with 5:35 left in regulation. Sherwyn Devonish-Prince Jr. made a pair of free throws for Morgan State with 34 seconds left to force overtime.
Savannah State pulls away from Tennessee Tech, 97-83
SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) — Adam Saeed and Zaquavian Smith combined to score 44 points and Savannah State picked up its second win at home, pulling away from winless Tennessee Tech down the stretch to take a 97-83 victory on Tuesday night.
Tennessee Tech got within four points on a layup by Courtney Alexander II with 2:08 left in the first half, but Romani Hansen answered with a layup and the Tigers went into intermission with a six-point lead.
