Shawnee Fort Chapter Participates In 121st Annual State DAR Conference
Shawnee Fort Chapter was well represented at the 121st Annual Pennsylvania State Society Daughters of the American Revolution (PSSDAR) State Conference recently. Chapter officers and members traveled to Gettysburg to join more than 400 representatives of Pennsylvania’s chapters to report on their initiatives and activities for the past year. Chapter Vice Regent Alice Keiner, Registrar Cynthia Brenner and Historian Marylou Fallo, have been working to promote the PA State Regent’s theme “Embrace the Opportunity to serve God, Home and Country.” Shawnee Fort is based in Plymouth and active throughout the community. The chapter participates in a variety of activities, most recently, assisting with preserving and restoring the Col. Zebulon Butler House in Wilkes-Barre, Hanover Green Cemetery Heritage Days and volunteering at the VA hospital.
