Coal City takes home much-needed win
The Coalers battled to pull out a 43-37 victory against Lisle on Thursday.
Bridget Kauzlaric finished with 13 points and seven rebounds for the Coalers. Makenna Crater scored seven points, and Brooke Chapman and Helen Onsen chipped in six points each.
Onsen also brought down nine rebounds.
Reed-Custer 51, Illiana Christian 36
Jaden Christian had herself a night, scoring a game-high 18 points with four rebounds. Haley Hamilton and Amber Duran chipped in 10 points each, and Kylie Balgemann had six points and six rebounds.
Earlville-Leland 47, Dwight 41
Brooklyn Long was the only Trojan in double figures with 10 points. Leah Flynn scored eight points and grabbed 14 rebounds, and Melissa Stewart and Lucy Rieke added seven points each.
Watseka 55, Villa-Grove 38; Watseka 57, Fisher 35
The undefeated season for Watseka continued, and the Warriors now sit at 16-0.
Summer Cramer totaled 32 points for both games, and Kennedy Bauer scored 21 points.
Kate Norder finished with 14 points, and Mallory Drake had 13 points.
Benton Central 43, Cissna Park 27; North Vermillion 39, Cissna Park 36
Gabby Wessels put together a two-game total of 24 points and nine rebounds. Jasmine Stock piled up 15 points, and Olivia Powell had 11 points.
