Bethel Historical Society holds ghost tour

BETHEL - The Bethel Historical Society will host its annual ghost tour at 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Oct. 28.

Local author and storyteller Marty Bishop will dress in costume and lead participants through the streets of Bethel for a candelight ghost tour.

“You’ll hear enchanting and chilling tales of fun and fascinating stories featuring local legends, history, folk tales, superstition, and fictional history and who knows who you might meet along the way,” the Historical Society writes.

The tour will last an hour and conclude at the Bethel Historical Society for hot cider and donuts. Particpants should meet at the 1842 Second Meeting House at 40 Main St.

Reservations are required by Oct. 24 by calling Pat Rist at 203-743-5893. Tours fill up fast and are limited to 25 people. The tour costs $10 for members, $12 for non-members and $6 for children 5 to 12.
