Habitual offender sentenced

June 24, 2016

A Carbon County man was given a county prison term on Thursday in the county court after pleading guilty to a charge of habitual offender.

Kenneth C. Conklin Jr. 42, of Lansford, was stopped by state police at Lehighton on May 2, 2015, along Packer Dam Drive in Mahoning Township.

At the stop police learned Conklin did not have a license and was listed as a habitual offender by PennDOT.

Conklin is currently serving a one- to 12-month prison term in Lehigh County on other criminal charges and has pending charges in that county.
