Cornhusker State Games head into final weekend.
The final weekend of competition in the 2018 Cornhusker State Games (CSG) features competition in 28 sports.
Youth tennis matches began Wednesday, July 25 at Woods Tennis Center in Lincoln.
BMX Racing at Omaha BMX, Bass Fishing at Lake Wanahoo, Electronic Darts at 1st Ave Social Hall in Lincoln and Adult Tennis, also at Woods Tennis Center, all get under way Friday, July 27.
Saturday, July 28, the final weekend gets into full swing with action in 24 sports. The Games conclude Sunday, July 29 with action in 18 sports.
Competition was held the previous two weekends in 44 sports. The composite schedule can be viewed at CornhuskerStateGames.com/Schedules.
The current participant count, 10,720, represents an increase of 563 athletes over 2017. Several sports remain open for registration, including the 5K Road Race, Cycling Gravel Grinder and Tour, BMX Racing, Fencing-HEMA, Foosball, Adult Trap/Skeet Shooting, Triathlon, Sport Skydiving, Pocket Billiards and CSG Walk events.
