Man arrested after showing, discharging gun
BULLHEAD CITY — Francisco Javier Romero, 25, was arrested Sunday on suspicion of two counts of aggravated assault, disorderly conduct with a weapon, and possession of drug paraphernalia after he allegedly displayed and discharged a handgun at two people during a dispute over vehicle ownership that began in Fort Mohave and ended in the 300 block of Meander Drive in Bullhead City.
Police were called to the Meander Drive location regarding a weapons offense, involving what ultimately would be declared a civil dispute over vehicle ownership. Romero reportedly fired shots as a threat against the people with whom he was arguing about the vehicle.
According to police, Romero had two handguns and a methamphetamine pipe in his possession. He was booked into the Mohave County Jail.
