Boulder County Agricultural Heritage Center Opens for Season on Friday
The Agricultural Heritage Center at the Lohr/McIntosh Farm in Longmont on Friday will open its gates for the 2019 season.
At the farm, visitors can enjoy the rural setting and mountain views while learning about the rich agricultural history of Boulder County, according to a Boulder County Parks and Open Space news release.
Farm animals, including chickens, pigs, draft horses. and sheep, will be on site through October. There also will be interactive exhibits in the big red barn for all ages to enjoy, including a real tractor cab.
The center features two barns, a milk house, a blacksmith shop (in use during special events), and many historical planting and harvesting implements, according to the release.
The center, 8348 Ute Highway, will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through Oct. 31.
