FWCS sets executive session on safety, security measures
The Fort Wayne Community Schools board will discuss safety and security measures Monday in a private meeting with district personnel.
“There are security measures that you really don’t want publicly known,” board President Julie Hollingsworth said Thursday.
Set for 4 p.m. in the downtown Grile Administration Center, the executive session meeting will give board members the opportunity to ask questions and get security updates, Hollingsworth said.
The meeting is in response to the mass shooting last month at a Florida high school. When situations like that happen, Hollingsworth said, it’s natural to seek local updates and assessments.
She expects Dottie Davis, the security director, will attend the meeting. Other staff might be there as well.
