Pharr JP to waive marriage fees on Valentine’s Day
Judge Jaime “Jerry” Muñoz, justice of the peace precinct 2, place 2, will waive marriage fees for couples who’d like to get married on Valentine’s Day, according to a news release issued Thursday.
It will be a day-long event from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Tuesday, Feb. 14 that Muñoz hopes will benefit low-income couples.
“Strong marriages create strong families, and strong families are the foundation for successful communities,” Muñoz stated in the release. “The purpose of this court is to serve the community. I want people to know that if they have a question or a concern, a problem, or if they need help, they can come to me. My door is always open.”
Couples who wish to take advantage of the opportunity must reserve a spot by contacting his court at (956) 787-1986.
Muñoz’s office is located at 300 W. Hall Acres Road Suite D in Pharr.
