Longmont Police Notes: Woman Slaps Drunken Husband After He Insults Her Cooking
A Longmont man called police to the 100 block of Telluride Court on Thursday to report a domestic dispute with his wife of 20 years. The man said he got drunk, insulted his wife’s cooking and threw his dinner. His wife said she got mad and slapped him. She was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence and harassment.
Longmont police were on patrol near Third Avenue and Lashley Street on Wednesday when they saw a truck with a clear plastic tarp instead of a windshield and two different license plates on the front and back bumper. The driver was found to have two warrants, and was arrested.
Police were called to the Kohl’s at 1211 S Hover Street on Tuesday for a report of shoplifting. A man was questioned and found to have unpaid items in his pocket. Police also found several utility blades he said he bought earlier that day to open the stolen items. He was arrested.
