November 22, 2016 GMT

Rome police Capt. Roy Willingham said a missing Floyd County man’s truck has been found near a hiking trail in Walker County, but there was still no sign Monday of 59-year-old Gary Fingerle.

Willingham said Fingerle’s pickup truck was found Friday night near the Chickamauga Creek Trail off Ga. 136 between Villanow and LaFayette.

Searches with dogs were made in the area Saturday and Sunday, but Fingerle was not found.

He was last seen by family members on Oct. 29.

Fingerle is 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds. He has short gray hair and hazel eyes.

He was last seen at the air show at Richard B. Russell Regional Airport. He is known to have seizures when not taking his medication, family members said. It is unknown what he is wearing.

Anyone who spots the missing man is asked to notify the Rome Police Department at 706-238-5111 or Willingham at 706-290-3126.
