High winds expected in southeast Wyoming

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — A high wind warning remains in effect through Tuesday for southeast Wyoming.

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne said Monday that winds are expected to reach 35 to 45 miles per hour (56.32 kph). Gusts could reach up to 70 miles per hour (112.65 kph).

Travelers in vehicles with a high risk of blowing over, including camping and travel trailers, are encouraged to be cautious.

The warning area includes Interstate 80 from Cheyenne to Elk Mountain and Interstate 25 from Chugwater to Wheatland.
