Flash flood warning: Huntington, Wabash, Wells

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning until 8:15 p.m. for Huntington, Wabash and Wells counties.

At 4:13 p.m., radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area, the weather service said. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain has fallen with the strongest storms, and another inch is possible through 5:15 p.m.

Many locations in the warning area have had heavy rain during the last 24 hours, and additional heavy rain will likely lead to flash flooding, the weather service said.

Locations that will experience flooding include Huntington, Wabash, Bluffton, Ossian, Andrews, Markle, LaFontaine, Warren, Zanesville, Roann, Lagro, Uniondale, Poneto, Mount Etna, Vera Cruz, Murray and Liberty Center.
