Elinore Marsh Stormer, Amy Corrigall Jones to lead Summit County Court of Common Pleas for 2019

SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio – Elinore Marsh Stormer and Amy Corrigall Jones will lead the Summit County Court of Common Pleas for 2019.

Stormer was nominated and approved as presiding judge, while the Summit County Court of Common Pleas General Division judges reappointed Corrigall Jones as administrative judge.

As presiding judge, Stormer is responsible for resolving administrative problems for the Court of Common Pleas’ General, Domestic Relations, Juvenile and Probate divisions.

Stormer has served the Summit County Court of Common Pleas since her election in 2004. In 2006, she introduced a model Reentry Court to assist felons returning from prison to become law-abiding citizens. From 2007 to 2009, she served as administrative judge for the court. In 2012 she was elected as a judge of Probate Court, where she established a New Day Court, which aims to provide a path to recovery for the severely mentally ill who are under civil commitment.

As administrative judge, Corrigall Jones is responsible for the administration, docket, and calendar of the General Division of the Common Pleas Court. She has served in the role since 2017.

Corrigall Jones serves as presiding judge of the Summit County Valor Court, a specialized docket serving veterans. She was elected to the Common Pleas Court in 2012 and again in 2018.
