The Herald-Dispatch Tamar Slay conducted a New Year’s Resolution Clinic this week for young basketball players. The former Marshall University and NBA player’s clinic for players from first to ninth grade was Thursday and Friday at the Phil Cline Family YMCA, 917 9th St., Huntington. Slay, a Beckley native, played for the Thundering Herd from 1998 to 2002. He is seventh on the Marshall career list with 1,792 points.
