Pocatello High School’s ACT ONE theater club to present ‘Into the Woods’

February 25, 2017 GMT

Pocatello High School’s ACT ONE theater club is proud to present “Into the Woods” by James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim.

“Into the Woods” is a musical about wishes and their consequences. The play revolves around a childless baker and his wife, a blood… and sweets… thirsty Little Red Riding Hood, an indecisive Cinderella, a cow-loving, adventurous Jack, a curse-wielding witch, and a couple of handsome princes. The baker and his wife set out into the woods to undo a curse placed by the witch from next door. While looking for a cow as white as milk, cape as red as blood, hair as yellow as corn, and slipper as pure as gold, they are forced to lie, cheat and steal to get their wish. Will everyone live happily ever after? Or will the consequences of their wishes be great than the wishes themselves?

The play takes place March 2, 3, 4 and 6 in the Pocatello High School auditorium. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for students and $5 for students with activity card.
