University of Nebraska conducts study to identify needs of minorities living in rural counties
LINCOLN - A recently completed University of Nebraska Study seeks to shed light on what factors rural minorities look for in a good life.
Associate Professor Maria de Guzman with the University’s Child, Youth and Family Studies division, says little is known about what minorities in rural communities find important.
Guzman says the study used focus groups, interviews and surveys from ethnic minorities in Madison, Platt and Scotts Bluff counties.
Guzman says once a final review of the study is complete, the information will be shared with academic journals and those who participated in the study.
