Herd women’s golf in sixth place at Memphis tourney

GERMANTOWN, Tenn. — Marshall University is sixth out of 14 teams after the first two rounds of the Memphis Women’s Intercollegiate golf tournament at Ridgeway Country Club.

Marshall’s Shelby Brauckmuller goes into Tuesday’s final round in 15th place.

Penn State leads with a 2-under-par 566 team score and is five strokes ahead of Middle Tennessee. Megan McLean of Penn State is the individual leader at 5-under 137.

Marshall’s score of 600 includes Brauckmuller at 4-over 146 with rounds of 72 and 74, Kerri Parks (75-76 — 151), Stormy Randazzo (76-76 — 152), Jackie Schmidt (76-77 — 153) and Ylva Forslund (74-79 — 153).
