Much Ado About Something
Summer campers transformed into actors Monday at Carroll County Public Library with the start of Shakespeare Camp. Each afternoon this week, children will learn about theater before presenting a public performance of “Much Ado About Nothing” at 3 p.m. on Friday at the library. On Monday, campers were led by actor and educator, Braden McCampbell, in a lesson focused on language and speaking with intention - exchanging both insults and compliments using language created by William Shakespeare. The camp is organized by Kentucky Shakespeare, a nonprofit organization and professional theater founded in 1949, also responsible for the oldest free Shakespeare festival in the United States - held in Louisville’s Central Park.
