Vermont shooting victim died from multiple gunshot wounds
ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt. (AP) — The Vermont Medical Examiner says the man whose body was found by the side of a road died of multiple gunshot wounds to the head, torso and extremities.
But the death certificate for Michael Pimental does not say when or where he died.
The body of the 37-year-old Pimental was found Oct. 14 by a homeowner in Concord.
Capt. Dan Trudeau, of the Vermont State Police Major Crime Unit, says investigators have searched Pimental’s Waterford home and other local residences. They have also been searching motor vehicles, conducting numerous interviews of possible witnesses and seeking more search warrants.
Trudeau says there is a “voluminous amount of information and evidence to wade through.”
State police have not publicly identified any suspects in Pimental’s death.
