Hartford edges Watertown tennis 4-3
Hartford won two singles flights and two doubles flights to edge Watertown’s boys tennis team 4-3 in a nonconference dual meet at the Brandt/Quirk tennis courts on Tuesday.
“This was a close, competitive match between two very similar teams,” Watertown boys tennis coach Andy Dobbins said. “We won a few of the close ones and had a chance in the others. I think we learned some things about ourselves as a team and individually that we can use as we enter the postseason. The guys will be ready.
“The bottom of the lineup continues to play well and be a strength of this team. Those guys have really embraced their roles and have learned what it takes to be successful. It has been fun to watch their growth and see them have success.”
