Woman arrested for drugs, weapon offenses
Jefferson County authorities arrested a woman for drug and weapon offenses after she refused to leave a Fairbury business.
On Thursday, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office was called to the Cobblestone Hotel in Fairbury for reports of a female who refused to leave.
According to a press release from the sheriff’s office, deputies discovered methamphetamine in the room that she had been staying in.
Upon questioning the woman, who was identified as 34-year-old Jamie Mohr, deputies learned she was a convicted felon and a loaded pistol was discovered in her possession, as well as a Taser and pepper spray.
Mohr was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm while in the commission of a drug crime and carrying a concealed weapon.
The press release stated the case is under further investigation and additional charges may be filed.
