Ultra Clean: 2Q Earnings Snapshot
HAYWARD, Calif. (AP) _ Ultra Clean Holdings Inc. (UCTT) on Wednesday reported a second-quarter loss of $202,000, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The Hayward, California-based company said it had a loss of 1 cent per share. Earnings, adjusted for amortization costs and costs related to mergers and acquisitions, were 21 cents per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 18 cents per share.
The chipmaking equipment services company posted revenue of $265.4 million in the period, also exceeding Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $253.9 million.
For the current quarter ending in October, Ultra Clean expects its per-share earnings to range from 11 cents to 21 cents.
The company said it expects revenue in the range of $235 million to $255 million for the fiscal third quarter.
Ultra Clean shares have climbed 72% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $14.59, a climb of nearly 9% in the last 12 months.
