Danbury honors Vietnam War veterans
The Danbury Council of Veterans will held a ceremony Friday in honor of National Vietnam War Veterans Day. This day is held every March 29 — as designated by President Donald Trump in 2017 — because on that day in 1973 the United States withdrew from Vietnam.
The ceremony was held at in Rogers Park at the Vietnam Monument. The names of area Vietnam MIA/POW, from Bethel, Brookfield, Danbury, New Fairfield, New Milford, Newtown, Redding and Ridgefield were read aloud by Ronald Agard, U.S. Air Force, retired.
