DATE NIGHT: Mayor Marty Walsh brought a surprise guest to the New England Women’s Leadership Awards: Former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden. He showed up at the event, which was hosted by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester, honoring Boston Police Lt. Donna Gavin; Joanne Chang, baker and owner of Flour Bakery and Myers + Chang; and Becca Pizzi, winner of the World Marathon Challenge. Also at the Seaport Hotel shindig: WBZ News anchor Lisa Hughes, as well as Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester CEO Bob Scannell, who was also honored. Biden followed up his night out with Walsh with a Twitter pic of them out at a restaurant together. This could be the start of a beautiful bromance ...

TWO-FER: Come for No. 12, stay for the reveal.
