High-end bathroom finishes essential to luxury condo living

December 16, 2018

In your home, there’s one place to really escape from the world, and that’s your luxury bathroom where solitude, relaxation and peacefulness can refresh you to face the world.

What makes this an even better experience is the total luxe environment that encompasses you to give a great start and finish to your day.

According to RiverBendHome.com’s article, Going Deluxe — Luxury Trends in Bathroom Design, high-rise condominiums aren’t missing any of the “best of the best” in latest trends.

These trends can range from power showers with vertical spa systems complete with roomy walk-in stalls with large rainfall showerheads, handheld sprayers, multiple body jets, steam capability, freestanding tubs and high-tech water control.

Flooring is addressed in these trends as well. Materials can include terra cotta, natural stone, ceramic, porcelain, and glass in an array of colors, textures and styles.

Throughout Houston’s luxury condominiums, the options are endless.

Laura Sakowitz Sweeney, a Realtor with John Daugherty, Realtors, said high-rise bathrooms have an obvious advantage when it comes to glamor.

“The light and views provide an immediate wow factor,” she said.

At The Star, residents can enjoy oversized historic windows, oversized soaking tubs, separate walk-in showers with rainfall showerheads and powder rooms for guests.

Sweeney added that beautiful sophistication is evident throughout luxury high-rises.

“Classic elegance is played out in this sumptuous master bathroom,” she said. “Coffered ceilings with cove lighting, marble floors, decorative brass trim and designer fixtures can give this room a timeless feeling of quiet luxury. It’s a wonderful refuge.”

Spa-style bathrooms with sleek cabinetry, along with freestanding soaking tubs and frameless glass shower enclosures, are part of the luxury condos at The Sophie at Bayou Bend, along with Brizo fixtures and Toto toilets.

At The Moderne Rice Village, large soaking tubs, porcelain floors and wall tiles are just part of the bathrooms. You also will find glass shower enclosures as well as Delta plumbing fixtures.

Parc at Midtown’s master en suites have choices of either an oversized shower with dual showerheads or a garden tub and shower.

European-designed luxury bathroom design packages also are part of their offerings with finishes, colors, and textures in both modern and classic styles.

Basic luxury is covered, but it can even more than you can imagine.

High-end bathroom designs in these contemporary settings come with comfortable and sleek layouts.

Designers have not forgotten the fine touches, with designer freestanding tubs, unique plumbing finishes, and large-format tiles with either quartz or porcelain countertops as the norm.

An emphasis on lighting is also evident in setting the tone.

There’s scaled-down decorative lighting, backlit mirrors and minimal hardware, depending on the building. Residents can expect lighting and fixtures to be simple, with clean lines and recessed LEDs.
