Prep Boys Basketball: Douglas falls to Cascade, 65-47

TURNER — Cascade picked up a 65-47 win over Douglas Wednesday night in the first round of the Cascade Holiday Classic boys basketball tournament.

The Trojans dropped to 4-5 on the season.

Treyden Harris led the Cougars (4-3) with 19 points, sinking three 3-point field goals. Cascade outscored Douglas 37-25 in the second half.

Damon Landry scored 16 points for Douglas. Quinden Parson and Taylor Exceen each had nine points.

“They’re a good team. Athletic and good size,” Douglas coach Josh Heacock said. “I thought Damon Landry and Quinden Parson did a good job of attacking the defense and distributing the ball, and we did well from the foul line (13 of 15).”
