WTCR to host two-day radiothon
HUNTINGTON - WTCR’s St. Jude Radiothon will kick off at 6 a.m. Thursday and run for two days, Thursday and Friday, Feb. 15-16, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
WTCR dedicates two days to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This money goes for research and to help kids in their fight against cancer. St. Jude freely shares their research and protocols to all hospitals - not only in the Tri-State region but also worldwide. Several children from the Tri-State go to the hospital in Memphis for treatment, said WTCR general manager Judy Eaton.
Country Cares for St. Jude Kids has helped generate more than $385 million for St. Jude since it began in 1989.
This year’s local sponsors are Huntingtonized Federal Credit Union, FoodFair, Downtown Car Wash and Detail in Huntington, Clay Tire Sales in Grayson, The Results Co. in Huntington, Proctorville Hardware and Feed and City National Bank.
