Bossier Parish Community College hires new basketball coach
BOSSIER CITY, La. (AP) — Bossier Parish Community College has named a temporary replacement to fill its vacant men’s basketball coaching position.
The college, in a statement posted Thursday to Facebook, said John Anglin will replace Chris Lovell, who resigned earlier this week to take a comparable post at East Texas Baptist University.
“We felt like we needed to have someone in to make sure our returning players were taken care of,” BPCC athletic director John Rennie told The Times.
Anglin has coached at the University of Texas El Paso and the University of Louisiana at Monroe. He also was associate head coach at LSU-Shreveport in 2018, guiding the Pilots to a 23-11 record and into the first round of the NAIA national tournament.
