Ducey reappoints Game and Fish Commissioner to 2nd term
PHOENIX (AP) — Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey has re-appointed a member of the Arizona Game and Fish Commission.
Ducey announced Tuesday he wants the Senate to confirm Kurt Davis for a second term. The five-member commission sets policy and oversees the state’s Game and Fish Department.
Davis was originally appointed in 2011 by then-Gov. Jan Brewer and his term is nearing completion. He was among three people recommended to Ducey by a nomination board.
Ducey said in a statement that Davis has served the state and the commission “admirably.′ He says his extensive knowledge of wildlife and outdoor recreation issues and his business, government and communication experience are major assets.
Davis is an avid hunter and outdoorsman who is a founding partner at the communications and public relations firm FirstStrategic.
