Timeline in Serial Killing Case
Events surrounding Derrick Todd Lee, suspected of killing at least five women in Louisiana:
_ July 1993: Lee sentenced to prison for a November 1992 burglary. Serves two years.
_ September 1995-January 2000: Lee arrested at various times in Lake Charles, Zachary and other Louisiana towns on battery, suspicion of being a peeping Tom, stalking and other counts.
_ April 2000: Lee convicted of flight from an officer in one incident and sentenced to prison for two years. A judge also revoked his probation on an earlier stalking charge.
_ January 2001: Lee released from prison.
_ Sept. 24, 2001: Gina Wilson Green found strangled in her home in Baton Rouge, La.
_ May 31, 2002: Charlotte Murray Pace found stabbed to death in her home south of Louisiana State University.
_ July 9, 2002: Woman attacked in her home in Breaux Bridge, La., but survives.
_ July 12, 2002: Pam Kinamore abducted from her home in Baton Rouge. Body found four days later near Whiskey Bay.
_ Nov. 21, 2002: Trineisha Dene Colomb attacked near Grand Coteau north of Lafayette. Body found three days later in Scott.
_ March 3, 2003: Carrie Lynn Yoder abducted from her home. Body found 10 days later near Whiskey Bay.
_ May 5: Lee forced to submit a sample for DNA testing in case not linked to serial killer. The tests on the DNA sample later link him to the five killings already blamed on the serial killer.
_ May 26: Identified publicly as serial killing suspect. Arrest warrant issued in Yoder case.
_ May 27: Lee captured in Atlanta. Also, arrest warrant naming Lee issued in nonfatal July 9, 2002, attack.
_ May 28: Lee agrees not to fight transfer back to Louisiana.
