Cintas: Fiscal 2Q Earnings Snapshot
CINCINNATI (AP) _ Cintas Corp. (CTAS) on Thursday reported fiscal second-quarter profit of $243 million.
On a per-share basis, the Cincinnati-based company said it had profit of $2.18. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were $1.76 per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.72 per share.
The uniform rental company posted revenue of $1.72 billion in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.7 billion.
Cintas expects full-year earnings in the range of $7.30 to $7.38 per share, with revenue in the range of $6.87 billion to $6.91 billion.
Cintas shares have climbed 2 percent since the beginning of the year, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 index has fallen roughly 8 percent. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $159.04, decreasing slightly in the last 12 months.
