Man charged with killing of brother-in-law at birthday party
NORRISTOWN, Pa. (AP) — Police say an argument at a family birthday party ended with one person being fatally stabbed, another hospitalized with stab wounds and a third charged with murder.
Juan Tox Caal, of Norristown, was charged Sunday with murder in the death of his brother-in-law, 22-year-old Rolando Popsacul.
He was also charged with aggravated assault in the stabbing of 27-year-old Carlos Cocul.
Officers say both Popsacul and Cocul were stabbed in the chest.
Popsacul was pronounced dead at the scene and Cocul was taken to a hospital where he had been listed in critical condition Monday afternoon.
Caal is being held without bail. His hearing is scheduled for Oct. 2.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports no lawyer was listed for Caal as of Monday.
