Suspect killed in police shooting near Colorado Springs
SECURITY, Colo. (AP) — Authorities say a homicide suspect was killed in a shootout with police near Colorado Springs.
KKTV-TV (http://bit.ly/2dMmT8j ) reported Sunday that police believe the man and his brother were involved in the deadly shooting of a woman late Saturday.
The El Paso County sheriff’s office says deputies were searching for two men in connection with the killing when they eventually encountered one of the suspects early Sunday. The office says the man fired at least once at deputies and Colorado Springs police officers, who fired back, killing him. Police recovered his handgun at the scene.
