Man severely injured after falling on MBTA station tracks
BOSTON (AP) — Officials say an unidentified man was severely injured when he fell onto the tracks at the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority’s Park Street Station in downtown Boston.
Transit Police Superintendent Richard Sullivan says the man fell at about 10:15 p.m. Tuesday and struck the third rail on the northbound tracks. Sullivan did not disclose any information regarding the victim, his condition or whether he was hospitalized.
The MBTA issued an advisory just before 9:50 p.m. saying that the Red Line was experiencing delays due to a medical emergency at Park Street Station. The train service was suspended at 10:15 p.m. and resumed around 10:45 p.m.
