Livonia Man Held In Teen’s Death Charged In Two Other Cases
DETROIT (AP) _ A man facing trial in the kidnap-slaying of a 13-year-old boy whose body was found in Florida has been charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping and sexual assault in two other cases, authorities say.
Ronald Bailey, 26, of Livonia, faced arraignment today on charges of kidnapping and murdering Kenneth Myers, 14, of Livonia, who was snatched from his bicycle July 16, 1984, said Wayne County Assistant Prosecutor Tim Kenny.
Myers’ body was found four days later in a park in nearby Westland.
Bailey also was to be arraigned today, in another court, on kidnapping and criminal sexual conduct charges in the case of a 15-year-old Livonia youth who said he was taken from a shopping mall, driven to a park and forced to drink beer, then was sexually assaulted, Kenny said.
Bailey was arrested Sept. 15 in Florida, two days after authorities found the body of Shawn Moore, 13, near a cabin Bailey had been using near Gladwin, Mich., police said. Moore was snatched from his bicycle Aug. 31.
