Winter storms: It’s as easy as 1-2-3 in northern New England

December 21, 2017 GMT

Northern New England is getting ready for a one-two-three dose of winter weather.

The National Weather Service said the first batch of snow arrives Friday morning across Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont, with up to 6 inches in southern Maine and New Hampshire.

Meteorologist John Cannon said that storm No. 2 arrives on Saturday with mixed precipitation across the region. He said it’ll be messy near the coast, and snowier in inland areas.

But that’s not all. He said a coastal storm will bring snow to Maine and New Hampshire late on Christmas Eve with the possibility of several inches of snow through Christmas Day.
