Historical home in Hudson asks $575,000: Akron House of the Week

HUDSON, Ohio -- If you’ve ever taken a tour of historicial homes in Hudson, chances are you’ve stopped to gaze at the Peck-Trowbridge house.

Built in 1844 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the home’s original owner, Herman Peck, was a painter who became mayor of Hudson. In 1868, the home was bought by the Trowbridge family, who added the Victorian-style front. Later, Hudson’s former mayor William Currin called it home.

Renovated in 2000, the home includes a spacious family room with hardwood floors, bay window and fireplace as well as an open dining/room kitchen with granite counters and stainless steel appliances. The upstairs master suite includes plenty of closet space and a spa bath with double vanity, marble counters and tiled walk-in shower.

The roughly 3,000-square foot home has five bedrooms and four bathrooms. Howard Hanna agent Karyl Morrison has it listed for $575,000.
