CLEVELAND, Ohio-- After tossing rolls of paper towels to the Puerto Rico victims of hurricane Maria, President Trump is now considering tossing funds meant for real disasters, like hurricane Maria damage, to fund his border wall response to a non-existent crisis.
The con-man candidate and president who said he’d make “America Great Again”, is now solely responsible for the longest government shutdown in history because he was worried more about what Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter thought about him than he was about hundreds of thousands of government workers who are now missing mortgage, rent and utility payments.
Trump’s government shutdown became the longest in history the same weekend it was reported by the New York Times that the FBI in 2016 found good reason to open a counter intelligence investigation into whether the President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, was working in the best interest of the Russians, not the U.S. and American people.
The real national disaster, the real national crises, is not at the southern border, it’s sitting in the Oval Office at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, Washington District of Columbia.
Led by Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, the Republican majority in the U.S. Senate need to toss their enabling of the most disastrous president in U.S. history by passing legislation re-opening the U.S. government and overriding any Trump veto. The Senators need to do their job so hundreds of thousands of government workers can go back to doing their jobs for taxpayers.
