‘Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations’ encore episodes to air

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Travel Channel has extended encore episodes of “Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations” on Tuesday nights.

Episodes will air 10 and 11 p.m. from June 12 through July 3.

The foodie-author-television personality was found dead Friday in France, where he was filming an episode for his CNN show “Parts Unknown.”

The “No Reservations” episode Tuesday, June 12, will focus on Bourdain’s visit to Washington, D.C., where he focuses on ethnic foods - Irish, Mexican and Ethiopian, and visits the landmark Ben’s Chili Bowl in the nation’s capital. The restaurant, which was started 60 years ago, includes a tribute to Bourdain on its website.

The episode at 11 p.m. will cover blood sausage, hunting and pastries on a trip to Vienna that challenges what the cable network calls “Bourdain’s pre-conception of Vienna as a ‘Sound of Music’ and pastry-filled nightmare.”

Future episodes will focus on Bourdain’s takes on Detroit, Venice, Beirut and other places throughout the world.

Sunday, the cable network

aired 12 consecutive hours

of episodes of Bourdain’s show, which ran 2005 to 2012.
