Chamber to receive award for Cle Elum TV spot
CLE ELUM — Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce Tourism Director Amy McGuffin had good news for the Cle Elum City Council this week: a television spot promoting Cle Elum has been honored with an American Advertising Award from Spokane’s chapter of the American Advertising Federation (AAF).
The 30-second commercial is part of the “How We Do: Cle Elum” campaign and spotlighted the Cle Elum Bakery, Beau’s Pizza and Pasta and the Suncadia Resort.
McGuffin said the award will be presented March 11 at the Spokane Convention Center. The Inland Northwest American Advertising Awards competition is the first level of a three-tiered national competition conducted annually by the AAF.
Conceived and directed by DrawKnife Studios, it was produced by 1123 Production with management by Genesis Marketing.
McGuffin also announced the release of its DiscoverCleElum.com business profile video series.
The series features 20 videos, each highlighting a Cle Elum business. Each video includes on-camera interviews with Cle Elum locals who talk about their businesses and why they like being in the Upper County.
The videos will be released weekly on social media sites and on www.discovercleelum.com.
The first video focuses on Mac-A-Bee Gifts of the Southwest and is currently posted.
McGuffin, who recapped the Discover Cle Elum 2016 tourism campaign Tuesday night, said it had 637,000 video views and 6,731 followers and a campaign reach of 992,312 on Facebook/Instagram, 897 followers on Twitter and a campaign reach of 225,307 on Twitter and a campaign reach of 307,877 on Google.
