Cecilia “Sally” Rodriguez
Cecilia “Chela” or “Sally” Rodriguez went to be with her Lord Nov. 19, 2016.
Sally was born Nov. 22, 1928, in Los Angeles, Calif., to parents Donaciano Murillo and Maria Ve Jesus (Palmerin) Murillo.
After her family moved to Montana, Sally attended school in Forsyth. In 1952, she married Refugio (Henry) Rodriguez and together they raised five children.
Some will remember Sally for her great sense of humor. Many will miss the delicious Mexican food she cooked for them at El Rancho Inn. After Sally retired in 1997, she enjoyed playing cards with the “seniors” and other friends.
Sally is preceded in death by her mother and father; youngest son, Pedro; husband Henry; two sisters Carmen Federico and Lola (Murillo) McIntosh; and two brothers Bustacio Palmerin and infant, Antonio Murillo.
Sally is survived by Nini (James) Branstetter, Virgi (Jerry) Jones, Luis (Carrie) Rodriguez, and Manuel Rodriguez.
Sally will also be dearly missed by her numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and too many friends to count.
Services will be at 1 p.m., Nov. 26, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 317West 7th, Laurel, with reception to follow.
