Heggs opens showroom in former Harrington Building

June 9, 2018 GMT

Stacie Hegg of Hegg’s Gallery of Fine Furniture in downtown Ludington spent Thursday morning greeting guests as they walked through the roughly 18,000 square-foot showroom at 200 W. Ludington Ave. in the former Harrington Tool building.

“We had a soft opening on Memorial Day weekend,” Hegg said. “There are still areas of the store that we are still working on.”

There are plans to hold a grand opening later in the summer. The soft opening allows Hegg to train staff and get the displays set up just right.

“We are encouraging people to come in now and not to wait for the grand opening because a lot of the really cool stuff is selling really fast,” Hegg said. “I am seeing really amazing pieces going out the door right now ... We have plenty coming in as well.”

One of the goals of the store is to offer items that you will not find anywhere else — not even in the Hegg’s store in Hart, according to Hegg.
