Almost 2,300 lose power in Wake County amid freezing overnight temps
Almost 2,300 Duke Energy customers in Wake County lost power early Friday morning, according to the company’s website.
The outage started around 3:30 a.m. and was caused by damage to the utility’s equipment in the area. Power was restored around 7 a.m.
Most of the outages were north of Knightdale and outside of Interstate 540.
Outside temperatures at the time were around 20 degrees.
