Fruit with kefir and chia seeds breakfast

Kefir is a fermented milk product (cow, goat or sheep milk) that is one of the most probiotic rich foods on the planet.

It comes in liquid form, so think drinkable yogurt with superpowers! Kefir contains high levels of vitamin B12 and K, calcium, magnesium, biotin, and folate.

Probiotics are the healthy bacteria our bodies need for all sorts of functions, including digestion. And a healthy gut can also improve your immune response, so drink up! Choose the unflavored variety to avoid added sugars.

Fruit with Kefir and Chia Seeds

Ingredients (per person):

1 small banana, sliced.

1 cup strawberries, sliced.

2 TBS chia seeds.

½ cup kefir.

Directions:

Place all ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Enjoy knowing that you’re nourishing your body with foods that are serving you well!

This breakfast has everything you need for a healthy start to your day. The fruit provides healthy carbs and fiber; the chia seeds are packed with healthy fats, fiber, and protein; and the kefir offers protein along with the probiotics.
