Ridgefield Land Conservancy receives national accrediation
The Land Conservancy of Ridgefield has received national accreditation from the national Land Trust Accreditation Commission, making it one of the 19 land trusts in the state to receive such recognition.
“Accreditation demonstrates the Land Conservancy of Ridgefield’s commitment to permanent land conservation in our community,” said Joan Corley, president of The Land Conservancy of Ridgefield. Only 372 land trusts in the country are accredited by the national commission. In Connecticut, 19 of the 137 land trusts are recognized.
The Land Conservancy preserves the natural resources in Ridgefield, including land and water resources and historic or natural sites.
