A joyride in a stolen Jeep leads to charges for 2 Bridgeport teens
BRIDGEPORT — Two Bridgeport teens were caught taking a joy ride in stolen Jeep early Saturday morning, police said.
Police said officers were on a patrol near Trumbull Gardens condominium complex around 5 a.m. Saturday when two teens were spotted on Reservoir Avenue in a car that had been reported stolen out of Greenwich.
When police pulled the vehicle over, the car’s two occupants tried to flee on foot, police said.
The two 16-year-olds were quickly caught by police and placed under arrest.
The two teens, both of whom are Bridgeport residents, were charged with first-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit first-degree larceny and interfering with an officer.
