Sheriff’s Dept. responds to more than 1,200 calls
WINFIELD — The Putnam County Sheriff’s Department during the month of November responded to 1,248 calls for assistance, and made 24 felony arrest and 36 misdemeanor arrests, according to a news release from Sheriff Steve Deweese.
The Road Patrol also investigated 76 auto crashes, and issued 16 misdemeanor citations. Furthermore, the Road Patrol arrested seven DUIs and completed 129 written complaints; 51 warrants and 9 Domestic Violence Petitions served in person.
Home Confinement averaged 45 inmates with 183 home verifications and Western Regional Jail averaged 84 inmates per day. Process division served 259 civil papers.
Tax Office accepted 61 concealed carry permits and issued 87 permits. 721 DMV decals were also issued.
